Now WhatsApp officially announced the availability of Darkmode feature for all stable users in Android & iOS. How to Enable WhatsApp Dark Mode? (Android)

To enable WhatsApp dark mode, 

  • Firstly, go to settings
  • Now go the Chats options & find for the options Theme
  • Here choose an option Light, Dark or Set by Battery saver option

Light mode: It means regular WhatsApp theme used in previously.

Dark Mode: This option, will instantly switches to dark theme in WhatsApp.

Set By battery saver: This option automattically switches to darkmode, if you turn on the battery saver in phone default.

Set as Default: This option will be shown only for Android Q enabled mobiles. After enabling, this option, WhatsApp keep the dark or light theme based on mobile default theme settings. 

How to Enable WhatsApp Darkmode in iOS

To enable WhatsApp dark mode in iOS,

  • Firstly, go to settings
  • Now go the Display & Brightness option.
  • Here choose an option Light or Dark under APPEARANCE

Dark Mode: This option, will instantly switches to dark theme in WhatsApp.

Light mode: It means regular WhatsApp theme used in previously.
