As per the report of Counterpoint research center, India has became a second largest smartphone market in global. The first place has still holds by China. India ships 158 Million of shipments in 2019 year and compared to 2018, improves 7% of YOY growth.

The India smartphone market share grew 7% from 2019 Q4 & 2019 with a help of expansion of Chinese brands, affordable price, promotional strategy, and marketing. Compared to 2018, smartphone sales are hyped highly with the help of online sales. With an aggressive price and offers through Online shopping like Flipkart & Amazon increases the overall 7% year on year growth in 2019 in India.

Xiaomi still holds on the first position for the second year with 28% of market share in 2019. Xiaomi has 5% of YOY growth however, YOY growth declined from 11% to 5% compared to 2018. Therefore, Xiaomi needs a new strategy for user expectations by bringing a new innovative and features in 2020 smartphones.
Anyhow, Xiaomi having a Strong performance on the Redmi Note series. The Redmi Note 8 Pro and other Redmi Note series increase the smartphone shipments for Xiaomi. Now the third Smartphone brand is Vivo with 16% of market share in 2019 compares to 10% in 2018. Vivo positions 3rd with a huge 76% of YOY growth. Vivo achieves this by delivering, Vivo S series and budget segment U series smartphones. Also, Vivo is the brand popular in both Offline & Online markets.
Realme gots a fourth position in 2019 India Smartphone market share with 10% of market share compared to 3% in 2018. Therefore, overall, YOY growth is 255% compared to the previous year. Realme is a young brand, delivers the best smartphones in 15k to 20k price range. Also, in the year 2019, realme step in, with a premium segment smartphone with Realme X2 Pro. It comes with Industry-leading standard specifications at the most aggressive price compared to other flagship brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo. 
Finally, Oppo is an last individual brand in the list. Oppo positioned 5th place with 9% of market share and 28% of YOY growth.
