Regarding this, OnePlus said, “The name itself, Concept One, is a clear promise that this device is only the first in a series to come and shows our commitment to applied, innovative technology – bringing users an ever smoother, faster, and more “burdenless” experience. The OnePlus Concept One, demonstrates a vision of both new technology and alternate design approach for the future of smartphones”

OnePlus Invisible Rear Camera

The OnePlus Concept One has made this possible by using electrochromic glass, a color-shifting glass, to reveal the rear camera lenses hidden behind the clean glass body. Similarly, the rear camera lenses including LED flash will be visible when the camera application is in use.

OnePlus is the first brand in Smartphone Industry to bring the ElectroChromic glass in smartphones. Similarly, the glass on the OnePlus Concept One uses organic particles to create various shades of color when connecting to electrical field.
When a different voltage applied to glass, the light transmission properties are varied and allow the glass to shift from transparent to translucent. During the transparent condition the light will allow through a glass from the camera lens.
This technology is currently used in the aviation and high-end automobile industries to greatly reduce glare, such as on the windows of the Boeing 787s and the McLaren 720s. Likewise, OnePlus used the glass that built on McLaren.

The OnePlus Concept One technology displays at CES 2020 from 7th to 10th January.
