As per the specification Honor View 20 has better pixel resolution than Oneplus6 in both front & rear camera which able to delivers the photos at higher resolution and sharper picture details. Now let see how each camera’s performs at different lighting condition in different modes.

Artificial lighting

First, we check out how both cameras are performing at different modes in artificial lighting condition,

Normal mode in Rear Camera

In photo mode OnePlus 6 gives the good details than honor View20 then the OnePlus has auto HDR mode support that switches automatically based on lighting Condition but in View20 we have to set the HDR mode manually. Capturing in HDR mode OnePlus output good photos with details and colors where view20 also output good details and has more sharper images than OnePlus but has more contrast which makes the photos dark.

Normal mode in Selfie Camera

Where in selfie mode the honor View20 has performs well with sharper details but again it has lacks in color reproduction, looks like low saturation in images and on OnePlus has good colors and details in the photos but the photos look like painting effect it seems to be feel like artificial. Then by enabling HDR mode OnePlus do the best than View 20 by giving a good detail in the subject even in the direct lighting Condition.

Then another important thing noticed in both Honor View20 & Oneplus6 that honor View20 photos looks like brighter and the picture has filled with more white’s shade then where OnePlus 6 has reddish color shades in the picture while capturing in Artificial lighting Condition.

Portrait mode in Rear camera

In portrait mode both camera’s does good job, then viewing on view finder honor View20 has quick auto focus than OnePlus it detects quicker and you can see the background blur in the view finder itself and outputs the same has sharper details with good amount of background blur, then moving on to OnePlus 6, viewing from the viewfinder it didn’t full fill as like View20 it has blur in the subject edges but outputs good photo as like View20.

Capturing in more lighting Condition the honor View20 makes the photos subject darker and has low digital noise in the background blur, where the OnePlus 6 does good at this condition. But in terms of quality, sharpness and details definitely Honor View20 will be good one.

Portrait mode in Selfie camera

As like in rear camera the both cameras are producing good photos but in Honor View20 the HDR mode & Color Reproduction is not as equal like OnePlus 6 and in details & sharpness Honor view 20 is the best one compared to OnePlus 6. Then the Honor View 20 front shooter is made of Sony BSI sensor which increase the amount of light in the sensor that improves picture quality even in low light condition.

Natural Lighting

Then moving on to natural lighting condition here Honor View20 takes the lead in terms of picture clarity, details, sharpness, color reproduction and pixel resolution. It captures the photos at 48MP AI Ultra clarity in 8000*6000-pixel resolution, with huge pixel resolution the image not loss its quality even at 5X zoom. On other side OnePlus 6 also, gives a good competition it gives natural colors and sharper pictures, and OnePlus 6 has seemed to try to softens the images by overlaying.

Additionally, the Honor view20 has extra features with help of TOF 3D lens which have artistic mode, Qmoji will give the enjoyable experiences on taking photos in this mode.

Conclusion

On comparing the both cameras the honor view20 delivers photos in high pixel resolution which gives you sharper images with more details in the subject than OnePlus 6 but, on software side color saturation slightly lacks in natural lighting and much more in artificial lighting condition. See the below picture on how the picture beauty is affected because of color reproduction.

Where OnePlus 6 has good software optimization in adjustments like saturation, contrast, brightness highlights, hue and shadows. But OnePlus 6 also lacks in picture sharpness at some lighting condition by overlaying soften shades in the overall picture. Finally, if considering the picture quality and pixel resolution Honor View20 has one step greater than OnePlus 6.
