Oppo launched its first smartphone this year Oppo K1 in India by bringing an In-Display finger print scanning technology in the above mid-range price segment also, Oppo parent company VIVO as already brings this innovation at first but Oppo is the first device which bring the In-Display Finger print at this price point. Now let’s check what’s in the box and how it looks,
What’s in the Box
Out from the box we have K1 4GB RAM with 64GB Internal storage model crafted in Astral Blue colour variant, Protective Case, micro USB cable, Power Adaptor, SIM ejector tool, warranty card and quick guides about the device.
Design & Display
Oppo K1 designed as full view Display which has minimum bezel at the sides about 1.7mm then on top has 2.05mm and 4.36mm at bottom. Then further placements of power button, volume Rockers keys, SIM slot with dedicated SD card slot, microphone, micro USB port sandwiched between the speaker’s grille and 3.5mm headphone Jack are placed in the left, right, top and bottom of the device accordingly. On holding the device, it feels light in weight and compact to hold and has gradient colours with reflecting lights on the rear back made of polycarbonate plastic material designed like 3D gradient design crafted in Piano Black & Astral Blue colour variant.
The Oppo K1 sports with 6.41-inch AMOLED type display having 2340*1080-pixel resolution, has water drop notch at the top-centre of display which makes bigger screen to body ratio having about 91%. And the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Also, the K1 has comes with In-Display finger print technology.
For photography K1 has mounted dual-rear camera setup made of CMOS sensor with LED flash at the top-left of the device features 16MP primary camera comes with F1.75 aperture combined with 2MP secondary sensor in F2.4 aperture opening for depth effect. Then on the front it has 25MP selfie shooter mounted inside the water drop notch. The camera featured with auto focus, filters, stickers, burst mode and macro focus up to 10 cm. It has portrait mode in the rear using secondary sensor and on front they bring by using software.
On capturing with Oppo K1 we have observed few points, first we start with some of the pro’s we seen on K1 camera which as good HDR mode so capturing in direct sunlight also subject didn’t turn dark and also background sky colour has in correct colour temperature. Then in artificial lighting also it produces good colour but there is a dryness in the picture. Now moving on to some of the con’s Portrait mode in both front & rear are totally disappoints, after capturing in portrait shots the subject is became softer and seems to be looks like artificial and also not sharper. Processor, OS, Battery & Other Specs
Under the hood the K1 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa processor on SoC clocks at the speed of 1.95 GHz accompanied with 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal memory also, expandable with up to 256GB through SD card. It runs on Colour OS 5.2 custom OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo, packed with 3600 mAH battery chargeable through micro USB port with normal charging support. The device is get secured through In-Display finger print scanning and Face unlock, on trailing the In-display fps works quite faster and the face unlock is achieved with help of selfie camera.
