Realme has recently announced the Realme 64MP quad-camera technology at realme camera innovation event. Also, the realme 64MP camera will be featured in the upcoming realme flagship & midrange smartphones. 

Realme 64MP Quad Camera

The Realme Quad camera included with a 64MP primary camera, Super wide angle, Macro & Telephoto Lens. It features with ultra resolution mode, Super wide-angle mode, Ultra macro shots, telephoto shots at up to 2X optical zoom. In addition, the upcoming 64MP Quad camera mobiles will have regular features which already existing in older realme mobiles.

The regular features like Portrait mode, Expert mode, Panorama shots, Ultra Nightscape mode & Chroma Boost. The Realme 64-megapixel phone used the Samsung GW1 Bright ISOCELL sensor. It is the latest sensor announced by Samsung recently. 

The 64-megapixel ISOCELL bright GW1 not only makes the shooting picture more detailed but also provides 33% more pixels than the wide-angle + telephoto dual 12-megapixel dual-camera combination in the double zoom, maintaining a fine picture of 16 million pixels.

The ISOCELL GW1 sensor used advanced imaging technology. Is one of the highest-pixel sensors in the mobile phone field. Further reduced by the upgraded ISOCELL Plus pixel isolation technology.

So, the light interference between fewer pixels significantly improving sensitivity and color fidelity degree. The unit pixel is reduced to 0.8um without losing performance. So, the phone can shoot high-quality 64 million ultra-clear pixel photos.

The GW1 has an industry-leading 1/1.72-inch oversized sensor. It has a stronger light perception than a 1/2-inch sensor. Using this can take a clearer and higher quality night view. Realme brings a new level of image experience with 64MP camera.

Is Realme 64MP sensor is real?

Well now lets come to our topic Realme announced this camera innovation by joining hands with Samsung. It used the Samsung GW1 ISOCELL sensor with pixel binning technology for higher million pixel instead of using real 64MP sensor.

This time they achieved this 64MP camera technology by increasing to higher pixel resolution of about 9216*6912. Which helps the output image quality with ultra wide shots and also produce good quality picture even zooming the picture. 

The Samsung sensor has been built to produce 33% more pixel resolution than an original ultra-wide sensor. They achieved this technology by in-built with larger 1/1.72-inch sensor size. It able to produce higher pixel resolution photos with clear & sharp image quality. 

Also, it used 4 in 1 pixel binning technology which means it combines 4 adjacent pixels into 1 superpixel. It used the 16-megapixel sensor in the machine and it takes the output of successive four pixel and combining that in to single pixel. Using this method you’ll get higher resolution photos so, it capable to take photos & view even in the low light condition. Also, this time Samsung used larger sensor size so, you’ll get clearer with image if realme camera algorithms work as usual.
