Oppo K1 Design & Overview

The Oppo K1 has built in polycarbonate plastic material through out the device textured with reflective gradient rear design which looks like a glass finish, but not glass! And crafted in Piano Black and Astral Blue colours. It has the dimension of 7.8mm thickness and 156 grams weight which feels compact for single hand usage and lite weight on carrying the device. And also, it is very sleek comparably to recent launched smartphones like Honor 10lite, Galaxy M series and Huawei Y9.

The bezels are designed in minimum size at the sides about 1.7mm then on top has 2.05mm and a chin is having 4.36mm in size. On the front it has dew drop notch design where it housed camera, speakers and proximity sensors. Then on top microphone is placed and power button placed on the right and opposite to that volume Rockers and SIM slot is available which has supported with dual Nano SIM and dedicated SD card slot. And in the bottom 3.5mm audio jack, secondary noise cancellation, Speaker grille and micro USB port (Type C missing) is erected. Then at the back mounted with dual camera with LED flash and has Oppo branding.

The Oppo K1 has comes with 6.41-inch size of display achieved the 91% of screen to body ratio with help of thin bezels and water drop notch design. The display has FHD+, 2340*1080-pixel resolution based on AMOLED type protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Oppo K1 has comes with In-Display finger scanning using AMOLED type display and supported with Always ON display which helps to unlock the device at screen off condition itself then it has adaptive display feature it shows the date & time while the screen is in off state. Also, it features raise to turn on screen which help to wake up the display without pressing the power button when you lift up the Oppo K1.

It has good viewing angles at any lighting Condition and has vivid colours, rich contrast in display featured with auto brightness which controls the display brightness depends upon the available ambient light. Then it has Eye protection mode which protects the eyes from fatigue on viewing, reading or gaming in the display even engaged for longer time. Also, you can adjust the screen colour temperature as per your comfort. With the 6.4-inch display Oppo K1 will give you the immersive experience when watching a UHD movies, playing games or browsing on the Internet.

And with the support of custom operating system using the display the user can experience the features like three finger screenshot, split screen mode, screen recording, multi screen interaction (screen cast) and one-handed operation. Then it has navigation gesture feature which helps to hide the navigation buttons instead of that you can control by swiping on the screen this will further feel you a full view Display.

Oppo K1 Camera

In photography K1 has mounted dual-rear camera setup made of CMOS sensor with LED flash at the top-left of the device features 16MP primary camera comes with F1.75 aperture combined with 2MP secondary sensor in F2.4 aperture opening for depth effect. Then on the front it has 25MP selfie shooter mounted inside the water drop notch. The camera featured with auto focus, filters, stickers, burst mode and macro focus up to 10 cm. It has portrait mode in the rear using secondary sensor and on front they bring by using software.

On capturing with Oppo K1 we have observed few points, first we start with some of the pro’s we seen on K1 camera which as good HDR mode so capturing in direct sunlight also subject didn’t turn dark and also background sky colour has in correct colour temperature. Then in artificial lighting also it produces good colours reproduction and sharpness in the picture. Now moving on to some of the con’s Portrait mode in both front & rear, after capturing in portrait shots the subject is became softer at some lighting condition also the picture has less saturation and no sharpness. Oppo K1 Performance

Now coming to its performance, the Oppo K1 has powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa core processor in SoC clocks at the speed of 1.95 GHz (Under Clocked Version). Based on processor the snapdragon 660 is a successors & powerful processor fabricated in 14nm process technology and it works efficiently faster and never feels the lags while using the multiple application, playing higher end games or shooting a 4K video recording and the device also keeps cool even at the hard usage. The processor has 4 cores of A53 cluster act as power consumption runs at 1.84 GHz clock speed and another 4 cores of A73 cluster acts as Performance core runs in a clock speed of 1.96 GHz combined with the Adreno 512 GPU for graphics.

On the top Oppo K1 has skinned with Color OS 5.2 based on Android Oreo operating system which is customized with dozens of features that gives the top user experience and hassle-free operation. And based on benchmark score the Oppo K1 has get 128507 score in AnTuTu based on the performance of CPU, GPU, UX & MEM. Then the processor in SoC has paired with 4GB of RAM memory offered with 64GB of internal storage, out of that you will get 50GB of internal storage after obtaining for system files at all also, for additional storage you can use SD card with the help of dedicated SD card slot, which means you can use dual SIM & SD card simultaneously so, the device performance will never affect because of storage out of space.

For security here Oppo has brings the big innovation “In-Display Finger print scanning” in the higher midrange price segment itself, as like VIVO’s V11 pro it also has Always ON display feature and AMOLED type screen will unlocks the device within a sec at any time without pressing power button. Also, the In-Display FPS has the option to sync with face unlock this will further unlocks the device instantly. That means whenever you press the In-Screen FPS the face unlock will also, start to recognise the face for faster unlocking device.

Then normally the face unlock accuracy is very fast it unlocks the device instantly and during low light condition it takes almost 1 second to unlock. With the help of Color OS Oppo K1 security has been improved further with additional features like Screen Pinning, App lock, Privacy storage.

Oppo K1 Battery

The Oppo K1 has power packed with 3600mAh battery chargeable through micro USB port with normal charging support it takes almost 2.5 hours to complete the full charge. Then moving to its power consumption its battery is reduced about 16% for 1 hour of continuous game play and during idle time it reduced the background running process. With the help of Adreno 512 GPU it manages good graphical performance & no lagging while playing high graphical games. But we feel the slight heating issue while doing higher performance.
