What’s in the Box
Out from Galaxy M20 box having M20 device in 3GB RAM & 32GB of internal storage configuration, USB Type C cable with 15W Adapter, SIM ejector PIN and some paper works like quick start guides, warranty cards. And here Samsung didn’t offer protective film, protective cover in the box.
Display & Design
Samsung this time delivers a good design with premium look in the budget segment itself by bringing the Galaxy M20 has made of polycarbonate plastic material crafted with Ocean Blue & Charcoal Black color variant. And on holding the device it keeps more weight compared Galaxy M10 hence it powered with 5000mAH battery. It has thin bezels at sides and having minimum level of chin than M10 then other button and ports like on top microphone, at the right volume rockers, power button, in bottom Type C port sandwiched in between 3.5mm headphone jack & secondary noise cancellation and here M20 has speaker grille at the bottom, then by left having 3 slots block which has supported with two Nano SIM’s and a dedicated SD card slot for additional storage up to 512GB. And at the back dual camera with soft LED flash mounted at top-left portrait and by beneath rear finger print sensor placed.
On front the Galaxy M20 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity display with more than 90% screen to body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio & 2340*1080-pixel resolution with V notch at the top which housed with a front shooter which is also, used for face unlocking. With 6.3-inch screen you can experience the full view display like watching videos and playing games enjoyably also, the Galaxy M20 has Wide Vine L1 certification which gives the HD content stream.
The Galaxy M20 has dual camera setup on the rear having 13MP Primary camera with F1.9 aperture united with 5MP secondary 120degree ultra wide-angle sensor. And for the front shooter the Galaxy M20 has 8MP Camera in F2.0 aperture setting and it supported for In-Display Flash for front camera and soft LED flash for rear. The rear camera is supported for normal & wide-angle photos capturing. The M20 front camera has different features like smart beauty, Skin, face & Eyes categories which smooth the picture and gives good colours even in the artificial lighting condition.
The both front & rear camera are enabled with HDR and the rear camera has Panorama mode, Pro mode, Beauty, Live focus, Auto, Stickers & Continuous shot, then where the front camera has Live focus, Selfie & stickers mode. The rear camera outputs at 19.5:9 aspect ratio with 4128*1908 resolution. And the front camera output at 3264*2448-pixel resolution. Then for video recording it records up to FHD & 19.5:9 resolution. Also, it has Samsung Mall feature which scan and show the related product that we capture.
Processor, Memory & Battery
Galaxy M20 is powered with Samsung native processor Exynos 7904 Octa core chipset in SoC architecture with dual core of Cortex A73 cores clocks at 1.8GHz speed accompanied with hexacore of cortex A53 clocks at 1.6GHz speed and united with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU for graphical performance and it manufactured in 14nm FinFET process technology offered in 2GB + 16GB & 3GB + 32GB memory configuration of RAM & ROM respectively. Its run on Samsung experience V9.5 UI on top based on Android 8.1 Oreo then the Samsung UI experience looks cool and hassle-free access to options but here we feel that missing of some important features like double tap or lift up the device to awake the screen, and here we are on track in further for in-depth review.
It has power packed with 5000 mAH battery chargeable through Type C port with 15W adaptor through fast charging support. And for security it protected with face & finger print unlock feature which unlocks the device using the 8MP selfie camera. The accuracy of face recognition is quite good but it takes more than 1 seconds to unlock the device.
